Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic 10-amino acid peptide corresponding to the C-terminal decapeptide fragment of kisspeptin (metastin), a 54-amino acid hypothalamic neuropeptide encoded by the KISS1 gene. Kisspeptin-10 is the biologically active minimal fragment of kisspeptin and acts as a potent KISS1R agonist. It plays a central role in the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis and is considered a master regulator of GnRH neuron activity in research models. Research applications include studies of GnRH pulse generation, LH and FSH secretion dynamics, KISS1R signaling pathways, and the neuroendocrine regulation of puberty and reproductive function.
